Missouri Retired Teachers Association Foundation
Established in 2001, the MRTA Foundation (MRTA-F) is the charitable arm of the Missouri Retired Teachers Association. As a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) public charity, MRTA-F fosters a spirit of respect, loyalty, and enthusiasm among retirees, advances the cause of public education in Missouri, and awards grants to classroom teachers and support staff who are making a difference for Missouri’s students.
All contributions to MRTA-F are tax-deductible. No contribution is too small.
Apply for Grants
MRTA-F is proud to announce we will be awarding 84 grants to classroom teachers and 14 grants to support staff in 2026! Grant applications have been consolidated into a single online form. Online submission is the only accepted method.
Applications are open to active classroom teachers and PEERS-eligible support staff in Missouri public schools.
Give to MRTA-F
Your donation to MRTA-F directly supports grants for classroom teachers and support staff across Missouri. The Foundation holds three major fundraising initiatives each year:
- The MRTA-F Raffle (January-April)
- A Silent Auction at the September Annual Meeting
- Year-End Giving outreach in November and December.
