MRTA Executive Director Search Update
December 14, 2021
Dear MRTA Members:
Happy Holidays! On behalf of our Executive Transition Committee and the entire MRTA Board of Directors, we hope this message finds you well and looking forward to a special holiday season with friends and family.
As you know, we are currently searching for a new Executive Director for MRTA and assure you we are doing due diligence throughout this entire process.
Thank you to everyone who participated in our survey to determine the most important characteristics a new leader should possess. The ranking of those characteristics on the survey were all remarkably close, so we feel confident we have targeted the right qualities that you would like to see the new director possess. Furthermore, thank you for the comments many of you left for us to also consider. Your input in this process is crucial to the success of this critical effort.
The portal for applications has closed, and we feel as though we have excellent candidates for consideration. We are engaged in a thorough vetting process and will be scheduling interviews over the next several days. We hope to have a decision and announcement for you soon.
Sincerely,
Richard Phillips
MRTA Executive Transition Committee Chair
